Lucky Mehndi Elephant
Many believe that an elephant with raised trunk will bring good luck. I have sought the souce of this belief and have not yet found it.
I saw my first detailed view of mehndi designs at an appointment with my soon-to-be married Indian dentist. I adored the traditional henna designs on her hands and when my daughter asked me to draw an elephant and tick tick bird mehndi designs came to mind.
